Unlocking the Treasures of Authentic Videos

The presenters, Grace Song & Peggy Wagner, had me at the word 'authentic.'  Videos, using real language, are used to increase understanding, provide paragraph-level discourse, and incorporate interesting topics.  Ease, confidence, and flow of language are demonstrated both in the video presentations and by teacher led analysis.  Multiple tenses are covered, as well as the building of extensive vocabulary.  Students in Emory University's School of Graduate Studies are fortunate to have creative teachers to guide them to produce authentic language as modeled in the videos.
